OUTEN THE LIGHT
SYNOPSIS: Outen the Light is a feature film about a teenaged Rachel who lives isolated with her mother in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. She tries her best to learn the Christian healing craft of Braucherei from her devout Mudder, but her rambunctious spirit and love of death metal have her questioning her mother’s methods. In search of a teacher, she connects with the spirit of her dead Oma who introduces her to the forbidden craft of Hexerei… and reveals a dark family secret: the Wight who feeds on grief that has haunted her family for generations. Now Rachel must find her own spiritual path to save herself, her family, and her beloved pet cow.

LET'S LEAVE THE PLANET!
Tara is a bored stoner without much going for her until her boyfriend Andy tells her that he's an alien and they should leave earth ASAP! Is he just messing with her...?

​This short film cooked up by GirlSoup, Let's Leave the Planet! is a love letter aliens and 90's stoner movies. Shot on a freezing cold roof after lockdown, this was our way of staying creative and making our own work during a very tough time. The film follows Andy and Tara, who are exploring their relationship, and the uncomfortable question…“Will you move in with me?”. The film is written by Michael Lamarra and Julia Maldonado, Directed by Chelsea Lockie, and starring Julia Maldonado and Jeff Gorcyca.
